California Southern Small Business Loans
California Southern is one of eleven non-profit Financial Development Corporations participating in the California Small Business Loan Guarantee Program. The Program is designed to assist small businesses that might need additional support in the form of a guarantee in order to obtain a loan, with special emphasis on women and minority-owned businesses as well as businesses located in enterprise zones. Applicant businesses must demonstrate repayment ability and adequate collateral support.
Silvergate Bank is an approved California Southern Small Business lender, and provides term loans and revolving lines of credit to finance various business needs such as:
- Working capital
- Asset purchases
- Capital improvements
- Purchase of existing businesses
California Capital Access Program (CalCAP)
The California Capital Access Program, or CalCAP, is a state and federally funded program that encourages financial institutions to make loans to small businesses that might fall just outside of normal underwriting guidelines. The CalCAP program provides a lender insurance pool to assist small businesses in obtaining financing for a variety of business needs. Applicant businesses must demonstrate repayment ability and adequate collateral support.
