Mr. Feraro was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Bank in July 2007. 

Prior to joining Silvergate, Mr. Feraro was Chief Executive of Unity Bancorp in New Jersey, an Executive Vice President and Unit Director of Zions First National Bank (Missouri) and President of ITT Small Business Finance Corp.  In addition, Mr. Feraro has been a banking and financial services consultant specializing in troubled institutions.

Mr. Feraro’s thirty years of experience and background includes sales training and management, commercial, mortgage, installment and specialty lending, secondary market sales, acquisitions, strategic planning, development, budgeting, human resource management, contract negotiations and turn around. 

Mr. Feraro is also General Manager of Greyshark International, a bank, sales consulting and motivational speaking company. 

Mr. Feraro served in the United States Navy from 1969-1971 and attended the University of South Carolina, Columbia, with studies in finance and communications . He also attended and has been on the faculty of the American Institute of Banking.
